Some of my most vivid memories from my childhood involve my mom tirelessly working around our house and farm, constantly attending to the endless tasks that seemed to increase every day. From dawn until dusk, she was a whirlwind of activity, whether it was planting seeds in the garden, feeding the animals, or keeping our home in order. I often found myself watching her, wishing she would just sit down for a moment and take a break so we could all relax together as a family. The thought of sharing a quiet afternoon, perhaps sipping lemonade on the porch or playing a board game, felt like a distant dream. I can vividly recall very few occasions where she actually took a break; those moments were rare gems, often fleeting, as she would quickly return to her duties as if the world depended on her constant motion.

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting a remarkable woman on a mission to help us all take that much-needed break. Kimberly Sundt has created a perfectly curated box of goodies that encapsulate the essence of self-care and relaxation, aptly named "Permission to Pause." This thoughtfully designed collection is intended to encourage women to carve out time for themselves amidst the chaos of everyday life. Each item in the box has been selected with care, featuring products that promote mindfulness, tranquility, and a sense of well-being. From soothing teas that warm the soul to calming candles that fill the air with soothing scents, Kimberly's box serves as a gentle reminder that it is not only okay but essential to take a moment for oneself. Her mission resonates deeply with those of us who have watched loved ones, like my mother, pour their hearts into their work without ever stopping to recharge. With "Permission to Pause," Kimberly is not just offering a product; she is advocating for a lifestyle change that values rest and rejuvenation, encouraging everyone to embrace the power of taking a break and prioritizing self-care.
